My Interests

I admit it.  I am a workaholic.  I spend most of my time on my business.  It is my baby and I am proud of what I have achieved in over 25 years in this industry.  My children always tell me that when I die they are going to bury me with my laptop.

But when I’m not writing the specs for my next service or instructing my team of programmers what to do, I like to spend time with my family.  Thank goodness  most of them work  in the business!   All four of my children, my sister-in-law and on occasion my wife.

I also spend whatever time I can in the garden, planting vegetables and herbs to use in the kitchen.  Being an engineer by trade, I tend to build things!  I am currently constructing a large geodesic dome in our garden.  It’s a sort of space-age hot house where I grow vegetables and farm fish in large tanks using aqua culture.  It is loads of fun and will help to reduce  my carbon footprint.  Just doing my bit for the environment.

I am the cook in the house.  And I like to think I’m not that bad.  I learnt most of my cooking skills from my mother who is of Italian origin.  My father is of Greek decent.  So let’s just say my favorite style of cooking is … that’s right, you guessed it … Mediterranean.

Stay tuned for more updates on what interests me…

    Hi Angela.

    Thank you for your comment.

I am growing a large selection of vegetables such as tomatoes, potatoes, onions, lettuce, cucumber, pumpkin, peppers… and a whole lot more. I will also grow strawberries and a few other fruits.

Additionally, I am farming fresh water fish called tilapia. Apparently they’re very tasty. I’ve yet to try one as they still need to grow a fair amount. They provide a good source of protein but I can’t see myself living off fish every day. I might need to build a dome-integrated chicken roost!
